Baba Yaga strives to provide financial assistance for a 1 month AIR to an LGBTQ2/female identified, Indigenous Canadian artist. Through the generosity of donors, foundations, and hopefully any future grants through the Ontario Arts Council, Canada Arts Council and Toronto Arts Council our goal is to offer this special AIR program annually.

Artists who work in all media are encouraged to apply. You do not need to have a degree, or fancy images to be considered for our AIR scholarship.

Scholarship applicants are scored and ranked based on artistic merit by an outside jury of arts professionals.

AIRs receive a 1 month residency in our Toronto studio/gallery, their own dedicated work space within our Toronto studio/gallery. An Opening reception/artist talk/performance/poetry reading, and a 1 week exhibit w/advertising through our social media contacts, and postcards. The Baba Yaga Collective supplies some materials, tools and equipment that the AIR may use, along with a portfolio review towards the end of their residency.

Donate towards financially assisting free, creative expression (option to have your name added to the AIR invitation). Our AIR programs do not offer accommodation. Our AIR programs run, $600/mo
Thank you in advance for your generous support.
