Epithalamium is a song or poem to the bride and bridegroom at their wedding. In ancient Greece, it was sung at the marriage chamber as a traditional way of invoking good fortune on the marriage. In the hands of the poets the epithalamium was developed into a special literary form.
Heather was inspired by Pablo Neruda’s “Epithalamium” to create the panoramic by the same name. The body of work is a 42 ft panoramic on paper in acrylic and oil.
